About the Role
We are seeking a long-term part-time contract attorney position that could lead to a full-time opportunity that has experience handling trademark matters. You will be integral part of a growing boutique law office that serves entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, creatives, entertainers, and celebrities. The schedule is flexible between the hours of 9am through 6pm and you will need to be available for law office meetings and client communications on a regular basis. We treat every client like they own a billion-dollar brand because they are all brilliant. We expect for you to be courteous, kind, and professional when working with our team and our clients. The position would start mid-January 2021 and the pay is per mark assigned. Requirements
We are seeking a long-term part-time contract trademark attorney to join our firm.
Position Requirements:
1-3 years trademark law experience required
Skilled at doing trademark searches
Ability to spot legal issues quickly and independently
Complete client opinion letter and lead strategy calls to discuss trademark research results
Drafting emails to clients and handling status update calls
Help clients understand their options and represent them as needed in various legal issues
Know how to maximize trademark classes
Prepare filing, monitor docket deadlines, monitor trademarks, and draft cease and desist letters.
Ability to work with little supervision along with the ability to manage workflow assigned
Must be a consistent learner that do not expected to be trained on basic principles of trademark law
Must be proactive
